Djinn pendant
“Djinn” Genie mechanical pendant copyright Thomas kuntz 1998/2020
This magical pendant was inspired by the famous tales of the 1001 nights AKA: Arabian Nights.
This little gem began it’s life in the late 1990’s but it has taken many years to bring it into production. Like a genie in the bottle, it has been waiting for the right time to be released. After building a special micro -machining workshop, going through numerous prototypes and experiments, the time was finally right to release this Djinn in all its charming, and mysterious glory!
Eight components were needed to complete this mechanized pendant!

This is an original sculpture and mechanical design by artist/ automaton maker Thomas Kuntz. It is cast in fine pewter (available in 4 different finishes) it weighs 81 grams and it features an animated face, controlled by the jaw which moves the Djinn’s ears whilst simultaneously unlocking a secret stash box!
You will not find anything else like this one in the world....
The dimensions are as follows: length top to bottom 2.0”, height 0.9”, width from ear to ear is 1.3”
The depth of the interior of the stash area inside is 0.2” the interior stash length is approximately 1.0” long by 0.7” wide
The available finishes are....
A: antique pewter, B: brass oxide, C: copper oxide, and D: “dark blacksmith finish”
These come with an 18” chain, the chain may vary slightly based on supply.
